Painted plein air on the banks of the Wallamba River, this piece captures the shimmer and swagger of a hot summer afternoon. Boats zipped past, carving wake and attitude into the water, while laughter and motion rippled across the scene. As the sun began its slow descent, fading light kissed the silver trunks of gum trees lining the far bank, their reflections flickering between movement and calm. The river hummed with energy, yet the foreground trees stood grounded and cool, framing the spectacle. It’s a study in contrast, heat and hush, chaos and glow, where summer refuses to leave quietly
